Our Founder
Hello, and thank you for taking the time to learn more about the founder of EVIDOSE®.
My name is Rebecca.
I studied Nutrition and Food Science at the University of Reading and later completed a Master’s degree in Digital Health (MSc). I have worked in new product development and technical food roles, gaining experience taking products from concept through to market.
Alongside my professional work, family health challenges led me to look more closely at the role of the gut microbiome and the quality of evidence behind nutritional supplements. As I began reviewing live bacteria supplements already available, I compared what appeared on product labels with what had actually been demonstrated in human clinical research.
The gap was clear.
Many products listed only generic species rather than clinically studied strains. Others included bacteria supported by limited evidence, or used doses far below those shown to be effective in trials. Some also added prebiotics at levels unlikely to provide benefit and potentially unsuitable for people with sensitive digestion.
I believed probiotics should be formulated differently.
Instead of starting with what looks impressive on a label, they should begin with what has been shown to work in human studies: clearly identified strains, included at clinically relevant doses, and without unnecessary additions that may reduce tolerability for people with sensitive digestion.
That belief became the foundation for EVIDOSE®.
After months reviewing clinical trial data and analysing the market, I developed EVIDOSE® Live Biotic Daily+, combining four extensively researched strains:
- Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus GG
- Bifidobacterium lactis BB-12
- Bifidobacterium lactis HN019
- Lactobacillus acidophilus NCFM
Each strain is included at levels supported by published human clinical research.
From the outset, the formulation was designed as a foundational daily supplement to support the gut microbiome, including during periods when microbial balance is more likely to be disrupted, such as digestive discomfort or antibiotic use. Vitamin D was also included to address the widespread insufficiency seen across the the UK, particularly during the autumn and winter months, and to support the close relationship between gut health and immune function.
I also made the deliberate decision not to include prebiotics. The quantities shown to be effective in studies are too large to fit into a capsule and may worsen symptoms for some individuals. Excluding them keeps the formulation evidence-led and suitable for sensitive digestion.
As research into the microbiome continues to evolve, EVIDOSE® will continue to evolve with it.
Live Biotic Daily+ launched in February 2026, and I’m proud to introduce a probiotic designed to reflect what the evidence actually supports.
I look forward to you discovering Live Biotic Daily+ for yourself.
Best wishes,
Rebecca
